After watching the highs and lows of the Trundle Tree Change on the ABC over the past few weeks, Tullamore Rent-a-Farmhouse Committee wanted the Tullamore community to share in the success stories of the three families that moved to Tullamore as a result of the Tullamore Rent-a-Farmhouse scheme. This month we will introduce the Lee Family, next month the Cashman Family followed by those at Daisy Hill.

We moved to Tullamore in July 2009 and received a very warm welcome from the whole community and couldn't believe that people could be so genuinely nice. Our whole family fit into the community and we were never treated like 'newbies'. The whole community welcomed us as though we had always lived here which made the transition so much easier. Our children fit into the school and Pre-School/Day Care without any problems at all. Both are now at Tullamore Central School and doing very well.

We have always wanted to bring our children up in the country and have never regretted the move, - We love the farm life!

Lawrence is working on farms and Roo Shooting, the kids are enjoying school and I am in way over my head with studying Law and running a Beauty Salon. I never thought such a small community could be so busy but there is never a dull moment in Tullamore. There is always something going on and we like to get involved as much as possible. We have enjoyed our forward to welcoming new families into our beautiful town through the Rent a Farmhouse Scheme.

I opened a Beauty Salon in the CWA rooms in October 2009 and received great support from the locals. I would like to pass out a very special thank you to the Tullamore CWA for allowing me to use their room to establish my business in town. It is because of your generosity that I was able to build my business in Tullamore and in turn purchase the hairdressing shop from the wonderful Jo Fischer and transform it into a place of relaxation and pampering and acquire a fantastic hairdresser for our town, Nicole Sunderland who works Thursdays and Fridays (0401 574 866). The salon is called Tranquil Beauty and operated Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays (0417 213 391).

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Tullamore for making our move so easy and accepting and highly recommend the town of Tullamore to anyone!
